Innkeepers Day Off

The Napa Valley is full of beautiful wineries and tasting rooms.

On our Innkeepers Day Off, we decided to take the Dynamic Wine Tour.

(As you scroll through,

each place mentioned will have a direct link to take you to their site!

Just click on their name!)

Using Dynamic Wine Tour is the perfect way to be transported to each of the beautiful venues.

Even more so because they pick you up from Cottage Grove Inn and drop you back off after.

It's the smart, worry - free way to wine taste!

Dynamic Wine Tour really gives you the whole package for an amazing price.

They custom pick wineries based on your preferences; whether you love cave tours, Cabs, or somewhere with great history, they will provide you with the most suitable itinerary.

The friendly, knowledgeable driver picked us up at the cottages in Mercedes Sprinter Limousine.

There was a bottle of bubbly awaiting us as well as bottled water

and other assorted soft drinks.

Stay tuned, to hear about the amazing picnic lunch Dynamic Wine Tour includes in their tour!

First Stop, Madrigal!

Since the 1930's, the Madrigal Family has been farming

some of the Napa Valley's Finest Vineyards.

Today, the company is run by the family's 3rd Generation Vintner,

Chris Madrigal!

They believe in quality over quantity and specialize in

small lot, hand crafted wines.

It was the perfect day to sit out on their deck tasting wines while we

overlooked the very vineyards used to grow the wine we tasted.

As if the wine wasn't delicious enough on it's own, we then tasted their perfectly paired chocolates.

And guess what,

even the chocolates are local!

Earth & Sky Chocolates is even in walking distance from

Cottage Grove Inn!

Next Stop, Pride Mountain Vineyards!

After about a 20 minute drive from St Helena through beautiful redwoods and mountain views,

we were greeted by an amazingly kind woman.

We got to explore the caves as well as barrel taste.

The whole property was breathtaking.

They feature great Cabs and Merlot!

Lunch

The lunch Dynamic Wine Tour provides is from The Girl and The Fig,

It was the perfect meal to enjoy between tastings!

Delicious Orzo and Sandwiches,

ended with fig bars and brownies for dessert.

After the amazing lunch with a view,

we were pleasantly surprised to arrive

at yet another beautiful view!

Keenan Winery is solar - powered and sustainably farmed.

They built a solar power system that went on-line in 2007 and now supplies all of the estate’s energy needs; including the winery, administrative offices, visitor hospitality area, and the homes located on the property. The Napa Valley Vintners have recognized Keenan as a “green” winery.

In the last 10 vintages, 56 wines were rated

between 90-97 points by Robert Parker Jr.

Personal favorite from this tasting would be their Cab Franc and Merlot!

Last stop of the day was at Rutherford Hill!

I was pleased to find another winery dedicated to sustainability.

Their objective at Rutherford Hill is to leave their surrounding environment in better condition than it was found.

The winery is fully committed to sustainable farming and green business practices across all of their operations.

Rutherford Hill is also another winery focused on quality over quantity.

They had a great Merlot, Cab Sauv

and an amazing place for a picnic!
